Subscribe to Announcements

Oracle communicates information about scheduled software maintenance, network connectivity issues, and other events that affect Oracle Data Infrastructure Cloud@Customer through OCI announcements.

Maintenance contacts configured for a Data Infrastructure are used for service request-based communications related to hardware maintenance. Maintenance contacts do not automatically receive OCI announcements.

To receive automatic notifications about software maintenance, network connectivity issues, and other OCI service events, create an OCI announcement subscription. You can subscribe to all announcements or use filters to receive only announcements relevant to Data Infrastructure Cloud@Customer.

Before you begin, review the following:

• An announcement subscription delivers matching OCI announcements through an OCI Notifications topic. Subscribers to the topic can receive announcements by email or another supported delivery method.

• Ensure that you have the required IAM permissions to manage announcement subscriptions, Notifications topics, and Notifications subscriptions.
