Edit Maintenance Preferences
This topic provides the details and procedure to edit maintenance preferences.
Before you begin, review the following:
-
Data Infrastructure is updated in a rolling fashion, one server at a time, with no downtime.
-
Custom action timeout applies only to servers. You can specify a custom action timeout from 15 to 120 minutes before server patching begins. During this time, perform any required custom actions. To extend the timeout, select Edit maintenance window.
Procedure
Perform the following steps in the Console.
-
On the Data Infrastructures list page, select the Data Infrastructure that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the Data Infrastructure, see List Data Infrastructures.
-
On the Data Infrastructure details page, from the Actions menu, select Edit maintenance preferences.
-
In the Configure maintenance panel, provide the following details:
-
Custom action before performing maintenance on compute servers: Enable custom action only if you want to perform additional actions outside of Oracle’s purview before starting maintenance on the compute servers. For maintenance configured with a rolling software update, enabling this option causes the maintenance run to wait for a custom action with a configured timeout before starting maintenance on each compute server.
-
Custom action wait time (in minutes): The time available to perform a custom action before starting maintenance on the compute servers.
-
Default: 30 minutes
-
Minimum: 15 minutes
