Use the Prompt Library
The Prompt Library is a repository of Oracle-approved, ready-to-use prompts for Ask Oracle. Use it to find prompts that help you identify opportunities, build plans, and take action. Each prompt is curated to help you get consistent, high-quality responses from Ask Oracle.
You can browse, search, bookmark, and run prompts from the Prompt Library. Customers can't create or add their own prompts.
Open the Prompt Library
From Ask Oracle, select the plus (+) button, and then select Prompt Library.
Find a Prompt
- A category, such as Plan Work or Increase Value
- A prompt title
- A description of the result that the prompt can help you achieve
- A Use this prompt button
- A bookmark icon
- A More Actions menu
To find a prompt, enter keywords or describe what you want to accomplish in the search field. You can also select Categories to filter prompts, select Bookmarked to view saved prompts, or use the sort options to change the order in which prompts appear.
View Prompt Details
Select a prompt to open its details in a drawer. The drawer provides information that can help you decide whether to use the prompt, including its category, lifecycle stage, expected output type, description, and prompt text.
The drawer also displays the prompt's Slash command value.
Run a Prompt
- In the Prompt Library, locate the prompt that you want to use.
- Select Use this prompt.
Ask Oracle runs the prompt and displays a response.
Run a Prompt with a Slash Command
- Open the prompt details and identify the Slash command value.
- In Ask Oracle, enter a forward slash (/) followed by the Slash command value.
For example, if the Slash command value is review-release-schedule, enter /review-release-schedule.
Bookmark a Prompt
Select the bookmark icon on a prompt card to save the prompt for later. To view saved prompts, select Bookmarked in the Prompt Library.
