Application Clusters
Overview
An “Application Cluster” is defined as a large hub application, plus all it’s satellites - e.g. reporting systems, integration elements, ancillary functional systems etc. This approach takes the entire functional area and migrates it to cloud all the same time.
Use
Move a core application, with all its satellite apps to an integrated cloud Best in combination with a supporting business transformation Replace or decommission the ‘spokes’ if possible Requires a strategic integration approach for real-time and batch ‘Hub’ provides a focal point – often with delegated Master Data responsibilities
