You can download the orchestration file to your local host, edit it, and upload a modified orchestration file as a new orchestration.
To complete this task, you must have the
Compute_Operations role. If this role isn’t assigned to you or you’re not sure, then ask your system administrator to ensure that the role is assigned to you in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic Console. See Modifying User Roles in Managing and Monitoring Oracle Cloud.
- Sign in to the Compute Classic console. If your domain spans multiple sites, select the appropriate site. To change the site, click the Site menu near the top of the page.
- Click the Orchestrations tab.
- Identify the orchestration that you want to download. From the menu, select Download, and save the orchestration file on your local host.
You can edit the downloaded orchestration file on your local host, as required, by using any text editor, and then upload the edited orchestration file as a new orchestration. Remember to change the
name attribute in the JSON file.
For the procedure to upload an orchestration to Compute Classic, see Uploading an Orchestration v2.
To download an orchestration using the CLI, use the
opc compute orchestration-v2 get command. For help with that command, run the command with the

To download orchestrations v2 using the API, use the
GET /platform/v1/orchestration/name/ method. See REST API for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute Classic.
