Manage and Configure Automatic DR Configuration
Manage Automatic DR Configuration
Full Stack Disaster Recovery supports automatic execution of Switchover and Failover DR Plans through one Automatic DR Configuration per DR Protection Group. The configuration is created on the standby DR Protection Group, identifies database members and their triggering operations, and requires Resource Principal policies so the service can execute plans without user credentials.

Configure Automatic Dr Plan Execution
To configure automatic DR execution, create an Automatic DR Configuration on an active standby DR Protection Group, select default switchover and failover plans, add supported Data Guard database members, and enable at least one triggering operation per member. The configuration is subject to role, lifecycle, membership, plan-state, supported-member, uniqueness, and Resource Principal policy validations; after a switchover or failover, the configuration on the new primary becomes inactive and must be recreated on the new standby.

Custom Audit Events For Automatic Dr Execution
Automatic DR execution emits custom audit events in the Automatic DR Configuration’s compartment to report processing status. Rejected events indicate role, member subscription, or operation mismatches; successful events confirm submission but not execution completion; failed events indicate validation or inactive resource conditions; and skipped events indicate that another DR execution is already in progress for the same DR Protection Group.
