About Built-In Knowledge for Oracle Analytics AI Assistants

When Oracle Analytics Cloud AI Assistants generate responses, they use information from your Oracle Analytics Cloud content. You can also choose to enable built-in knowledge, which allows AI Assistants to use Oracle's built-in knowledge to help AI Assistants provide more complete answers for general analytics concepts, product capabilities, and common business intelligence questions

Oracle marks information provided by its generative AI's built-in knowledge with a dictionary icon Dictionary icon. Oracle marks information provided by your data with an Oracle logo icon, making it easy to determine the source.

Administrators use the Enable Gen AI Service's built-in knowledge in AI Assistant option to enable or disable built-in knowledge depending on their organization's requirements for AI-generated responses. Organizations that want AI responses to be based exclusively on their own analytics content can disable built-in knowledge. Organizations that want users to receive additional product and analytics guidance can enable it. See Configure Built-In Knowledge for AI Assistants.

Enabling built-in knowledge doesn't change your organization's data or grant AI Assistants access to additional customer information. It simply allows AI Assistants to supplement responses with Oracle's built-in knowledge when appropriate.
