About Import Errors and Warnings

When you import an .rpd file or the deployed model to create a semantic model, Semantic Modeler checks for and creates a log containing any import errors or warnings that it finds.

After the import completes, Semantic Modeler opens the model and displays the View Import Log tab containing a list of the import errors and warnings. Oracle recommends that you review this list to help you understand how Semantic Modeler might have changed the model during import, for example removed logical foreign key joins between tables, or discover issues that you need to fix, for example connection pools without assigned connections.

Oracle Analytics stores the import log file so that you can open it anytime from the Semantic Model editor or from the semantic model's Inspect dialog. See View a Semantic Model's Logs.
