This image shows the Properties dialog which you use to change settings for catalog objects.

In the General area you can view and modify general information about the object. You can view the object's name, type (such as action or analysis), and location in the catalog. You can also enter a description for the object.

In the Access area you can learn the following information about an object:

Note that a newly created object that is included in the index cannot be located during a full-text catalog search until a crawl of the catalog has occurred.

The Custom Properties area is read-only and contains system-generated information for troubleshooting object and catalog problems.

In the Ownership area you can take ownership of the object. This area displays only if the proper privileges were assigned to the user, group, or role. Note that the owner of an object or folder cannot automatically access the object or folder. To access an object or folder, the user must have the proper permissions assigned in the object or folder's Permissions dialog.
