Modify a Shared Filter Group (Preview)

When you modify a shared filter group, you're modifying a shared object, which means all workbooks using that shared filter group are impacted by any changes you make.

It's important to consider the impact any changes might have on other workbooks before you modify a shared object.

When you update a filter group in the Shared Objects folder, both show green dots on their names to indicate your changes aren't saved.

  1. On your home page, hover over a workbook, click Actions, then select Open.
  2. In the Data pane, expand the Shared Objects folder.
  3. Right-click the shared filter group you want to modify and click Edit Filter Group.
  4. In the filter dialog, make your changes.
  5. Click Save, then click Save Shared Objects.
