Make a Similarity Analysis Model Available in Oracle Analytics

You register a vector embedding model in Oracle Analytics to enable you to perfom similarity analysis.

Repeat this process for each model that you want to deploy in Oracle Analytics.
Before you start, create a connection to an Oracle Database V23ai or Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse V23ai or later data source. You must use the same user to create your connection and to register the similarity model.
  1. On your home page, click Page Menu Page Menu ellipsis, select Register Model/Function, and then select Vector Embedding Models.
  2. At the Register Vector embedding model dialog, under From a Connection click the connection that you created to access your Oracle Database V23ai or Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse V23ai data source.
    A list of available vector embedding models is displayed, which depends on which models are registered to the data source that you're connecting to.

  3. Select the vector embedding model you want to use.
  4. In Model Info panel, use the options to configure the model.
    For example, with the ALL_MINILM_L12 model, you can choose a Vector Distance option.
  5. Click Register.
    Repeat steps 3, 4, and 5 for each model that you want to deploy in Oracle Analytics.
Tip: From the home page, you can inspect the model on the Machine Learning page on the Models tab. Use the Inspect dialog to confirm that your model is registered correctly.
