This tutorial shows you how to change the default setting for the Limit Values By for Filters property used in Oracle Analytics.
Background
The Default Limit Values By for Filters property specifies the automatic behavior of the instance's Limit Values By filter option. The Default Limit Values By for Filters property specifies the behavior for all workbooks created on the instance. However, the content author can override the Default Limit Values By for Filters property setting using filter options.
The Default Limit Values By for Filters property has two settings, Auto and None. Auto enables the Limit Values By functionality as the default behavior. None disables the Limit Values By functionality and could improve performance.
What Do You Need?
- Access to Oracle Analytics with administrative privileges
Change the Default Behavior of Limit Values By for Filters Property
In this section, you disable the default behavior of the Default Limit Values By for Filters property.
- Sign in to Oracle Analytics as an administrator.
- On the Home page, click Navigator , and then click Console.
- In the Console, click System Settings.
- In System Settings, click Performance and Compatibility.
- In Search, enter
Default Limit
and select Default Limit Values By for Filters. - Click None in the Default Limit Values by for Filters to disable the limit by.
Oracle Analytics displays the message, Property updated when you change the setting.
