Oracle by Example brandingTest the Visual Builder Application

section 0Before You Begin

This 10-minute tutorial shows you how to test the execution of process tasks through Visual Builder.

Background

Now that you've created applications both in Processes in Oracle Integration and in Visual Builder, you can test your Visual Builder page to make sure that everything works correctly.

What Do You Need?

  • Access to Oracle Integration
  • A supported browser
  • Completion of the previous tutorials in this Learning Path

section 1Create Messages of Each Type

  9. Click Refresh to see the new process, then click the Tasks tab to see the new task. Select the row to display the message contents.

section 2Complete the Tasks

  1. With the Complex Form row selected, select APPROVE from the drop-down list and click the Submit button. A success message appears briefly.

You don't usually have to click Refresh after you complete a task action.

  2. Soon you'll see that the task has been replaced by a Fulfill task, which follows the Approve Request task in the process. Select the Fulfill row and select Submit (the only choice) from the drop-down list, and then click the Submit button.
  3. The task disappears from the table. Click the Processes tab and click Refresh. The process disappears too.
  4. Click the Tasks tab, click Refresh, and select the Approve Request row for Complex Message. This time, select REJECT from the drop-down list and click Submit.

  6. The task is replaced by an Approve Request task, as the process flow specifies. Select the Approve Request row, select APPROVE from the drop-down list, and then click the Submit button.
  7. Select the Fulfill row and select Submit (the only choice) from the drop-down list, and then click the Submit button.
  8. Again, the task disappears from the table. Click the Processes tab and click Refresh. The process disappears too.
  9. Click the Tasks tab, click Refresh, and complete the Approve Request and Fulfill tasks for Simple Message. Click the Processes tab and click Refresh.

You've completed all the tasks, and the processes are completed too.

  10. Close the tab in which you ran the application. If you wish, log out of Visual Builder and Processes in Oracle Integration.
