This screenshot shows the Translatable String popup dialog box that enables you to edit the metadata of the string that should be added to the translation bundle. The popup opens when you click the Make String Translatable button of a Text field for a Label component in the Property Inspector. The button is disabled if the field is empty or contains an expression.
In the popup dialog box contains the following fields for editing the metadata:
Text. This field contains the string that should be translated. The value in this field is paired with a key in the translation bundle.
Description. Use this field to enter a description of the text string to provide context for translators. This field will not be translated.
Key. This field contains the generated key that is paired with the string to be translated. This key is used by the translations object when retrieving the translated string.
Bundle. Use this dropdown list to select the bundle where the key and string value are stored. The default value is the application artifact’s translation bundle.
