Update a Workflow or Form
You can update a workflow or form for various purposes.
- Change tracking: Allows maintaining a history of changes to your workflow or form to review previous versions or revert when necessary.
- Support for multiple scenarios: Enables using different versions to address varying business automation scenarios.
- Incremental development: Facilitates updating your workflow or form incrementally as your business requirements evolve over time.
Update a Workflow
- Open a project.
- In the navigation pane, select Projects.
- Select the project name.
- In the left toolbar, select Human in the loop
.
- In the Workflow section, point to the workflow you want to version, click
, and then select Create new version.
- In the Create new version panel:
- Update the Version field with an appropriate number, and add a description if necessary.
- Click Version.
A new version of the workflow is created and listed in the Workflow section.
Update a Form
To ensure seamless integration, updating the minor version of a form does not disrupt the workflow that references the form. The workflow automatically associates the latest version of the form and incorporates the updates when you activate the updated form.
However, for a major version revision of a form, you must manually associate the form with the workflow to use the new version.
Note:
After versioning a form, you must activate the new version for the workflow to pick up the changes.- Open a project.
- In the navigation pane, select Projects.
- Select the project name.
- In the left toolbar, select Human in the loop
. - In the Forms section, point to the form you want to version, click
, and then select Create new version. - In the Create new version panel:
- Update the Version field with an appropriate number, and add a description if necessary.
- Click Version.
A new version of the form is created and listed in the Forms section.
