Search Data Fields

The mapper displays the source data structure on the left and the target data structure on the right. You can search for specific element nodes or attributes (identified by the Attribute icon icon) in either the source or target structure.

To search data fields:
  1. In the Sources or Target section, click Search Search icon.
  2. Enter the full or partial name, and click Search Search icon.


    The word Region is entered in the search field. The search, previous, next, and clear icons appear to the right. Below are the search results.

    The tree is automatically expanded and scrolls to the first match. If you entered straight text (for example, Region), any element nodes and attributes of the same name are found. If you search by attribute (for example, @Region), only the attributes of the same name are displayed.

  3. Click Next Search for next occurrence icon to scroll to the next match.
  4. When done, click X to dismiss the search facility.
