Microsoft SQL Server Adapter Restrictions
Note the following Microsoft SQL Server Adapter restrictions.
- The Microsoft SQL Server Adapter can only be used with the on-premises connectivity agent.
- Special characters such as periods (
.
), ampersands (@
), and so on are not recommended to be used in table names. - The database password length cannot exceed 20 characters.
- Database schema names with hyphens (
-
) are not supported. - User-defined data types are not supported by the Microsoft SQL Server Adapter.
- Direct connectivity to the Microsoft Azure SQL Database is not supported on either a private or public network. You must use the connectivity agent.
- If you are using a linked server with the Microsoft SQL Server Database, note that the use of a linked server is not certified with the Microsoft SQL Server Adapter.
- All integrations that
include stored procedure, PureSQL, or operation on table
database operations must finish within 240 seconds.
Otherwise, the query times out and a
Limit Exceeded
error occurs.
