Use Visual Builder in Oracle Integration

You must complete a few tasks before you can start using Visual Builder, including enabling Visual Builder.

Prerequisites

  1. Create a policy that allows an administrator to enable Visual Builder.

See Set the OCI Policy for Managing the Instance in Administering Oracle Visual Builder in Oracle Integration 3.

  2. Enable Visual Builder in Oracle Integration.

See Enable Visual Builder in Administering Oracle Visual Builder in Oracle Integration 3.

  3. Add a connection to your Oracle Integration instance.

See Add a Connection to Integration Applications in Administering Oracle Visual Builder in Oracle Integration 3.

Manage Your Visual Builder Instance

After you enable Visual Builder for Oracle Integration, Oracle Integration creates a Visual Builder instance. The Administering Oracle Visual Builder in Oracle Integration 3 guide is available to help you manage this instance. See the following sections to get started managing the instance:

Disable and Delete Visual Builder

Caution:

If you are using your visual applications in any way, including calling them from integrations, do not disable Visual Builder. Disabling Visual Builder permanently deletes your Visual Builder instance and all its runtime data. This action can't be undone.

If you want to stop use of Visual Builder and delete the associated instance, you can disable it.

  1. In the Oracle Cloud Console navigation menu, click Developer Services, then, under Application Integration, click Integration.
  2. Open your Oracle Integration instance.

If you don't see the instance you're looking for, make sure you're viewing the correct region (in the banner) and compartment (at the top of the instance list, next to Applied filters).

  3. Under Settings, next to Visual Builder, click Disable.

You'll be asked to confirm that you want to disable Visual Builder.

    Caution:

Disabling Visual Builder permanently deletes your Visual Builder instance, including all your visual applications. If you later re-enable Visual Builder, a new Visual Builder instance is created with no data from the previous instance.
