Step 6: Create an Instance Pool

After you create the instance and configure the required settings using the rpa-cloud-init-script-agent-install script, you must create an instance pool.

  1. Open the Oracle Cloud Console navigation menu, click Compute, and then click Instance Pools.
  2. Click Create instance pool.
  3. Enter or select the following
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Configure pool placement section, select the VCN and public subnet created in Step 3: Create a VCN.
  6. Click Next and then click Submit or Create.
    Once the instance pool is created, and shows as "Running" in the Oracle Cloud Console, you can monitor the instance being created in your Oracle Integration 3 RPA user interface.
    1. In the Oracle Integration 3 navigation pane, click Observability, then Agents.
    2. The instance from your instance pool is displayed, it usually takes 40 to 50 seconds. This confirms that the robot agent is successfully able to connect to the RPA interface.
  7. Once the instance pool is created, click Copy next to the OCID value to copy the OCID.
