Invalid Request: Site name not available for selection

While establishing a connection with the Microsoft SharePoint Adapter, you may specify either the domain name and site name on the Connections page or select the site name in the Adapter Endpoint Configuration Wizard.

See Configure Connection Properties and Invoke Configuration Page.

If you select the site name in the Adapter Endpoint Configuration Wizard, the integration may work fine initially. However, due to changes such as system update availability issues or modifications in site permissions, the site name may move beyond the pagination limit (200). As a result, the Microsoft SharePoint Adapter may be unable to fetch it. This occurrence can trigger the following error and may give the impression that the site is no longer available.
Invalid Request: Site name not available for selection

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Edit the connection used in the integration.
  2. Enter the domain name and site name under Connection Properties.
  3. Save and test the connection.
  4. Edit the integration.
No changes are required on the integration pages.
  5. Click Continue on the Basic Info page of the Adapter Endpoint Configuration Wizard.
  6. On the Configuration page, keep the existing selections for the Site Name and List Name fields, then click Continue.
  7. Click Finish on the Summary page.
    The integration now runs successfully.

Note:

To avoid this error in the future, select the site name and domain name on the Connections page. This issue is specific to integrations configured in release 26.04 only.
