2 Before You Install the Recipe

You must perform the following configuration tasks on your Oracle Procurement Cloud and EcoVadis instances in order to successfully connect to these external systems using Oracle Integration, and sync ESG data from EcoVadis to Oracle Procurement Cloud suppliers.

Configure Oracle Procurement Cloud

To access the Oracle Procurement Cloud instance from Oracle Integration you’ll require a separate user account on Oracle Procurement Cloud.

Log in to your Oracle Procurement Cloud instance as a Application Administrator and perform the following tasks.
  1. Create a user account for Oracle Integration. Make a note of the user name and password you set for the account. You’ll use the credentials of this user account to connect to Oracle Procurement Cloud from Oracle Integration.
  2. Assign the following roles to the user account. For more information on these roles, see Assign Required Roles to an Integration User.
    • Integration Specialist
    • Oracle ERP Cloud-specific data access to the integration user
  3. Create a custom role by copying Supplier Manager (ORA_POZ_SUPPLIER_MANAGER_ABSTRACT) role and assign the privilege Update Supplier Pending Spend Authorization Using REST Service (POZ_UPDATE_SUPPLIER_PENDING_SPENDAUTH_VIA_REST_PRIV) to the custom role. See Role Copying or Editing. This will allow updating supplier profile with EcoVadis ESG data.
  4. Assign the custom role to the user account created above.
  5. Configure supplier descriptive flexfields:
    1. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area.
    2. Search for the setup task Manage Supplier Descriptive Flexfields and click POZ_SUPPLIERS.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. Refer to the following table to configure global segments where the ESG data from EcoVadis will be stored on the supplier profile.

      Note:

      Ensure that you specify the values given in the table below for API Name, Data Type and Value Set.

      For other fields, you can enter values according to your specific requirements.

    5. Save and deploy the flexfields. For more information on setting up descriptive flexfields, see Overview of Descriptive Flexfields.
  6. Use page composer to make phone required during supplier registration. Phone number for supplier contact is required in the request sent to EcoVadis (see Modify UI Components Using Page Composer). If you have enabled Redwood: Next Generation User Experience for Supplier Registration feature, refer to the What's New on how to make phone required in the registration flow.
  7. Opt-in to feature Enable Outbound Supplier Profile Integration Using Oracle Integration Cloud.
    1. From the navigator, go to My Enterprise and then Offerings.
    2. Select Procurement and click Opt-in Features.
    3. Click the Features pencil icon for Suppliers.
    4. For feature Enable Outbound Supplier Profile Integration Using Oracle Integration Cloud, select the Enable checkbox.

Configure EcoVadis

To access EcoVadis from Oracle Integration and synchronize ESG scores, you'll need to have a valid EcoVadis subscription and an account to access EcoVadis APIs.
