Before You Install the Recipe

Configure your Salesforce, Shopify, and AQ JMS instances to connect to these external systems through Oracle Integration and create corresponding Shopify customer records for Salesforce accounts using AQ JMS.

Configure Salesforce

Configure Salesforce so Oracle Integration can create Shopify customers for Salesforce accounts.

To access Salesforce from Oracle Integration and create customers for accounts, configure your Salesforce instance.

  1. Create a Salesforce user account for Oracle Integration. Use this account's credentials when configuring the Salesforce connection in Oracle Integration. See Prerequisites for Creating a Connection.
  2. Identify the current Salesforce API version. See Find Your Current Salesforce API Version.
  3. Identify the Salesforce instance type. See Identify the Instance Type of Your Salesforce Organization.
  4. Define the Platform Event that enables the Salesforce Adapter to receive account-creation notifications. See Prerequisites to Use Platform Events.
  5. Log in to your Salesforce instance.
  6. Go to your profile name, then click Setup.
  7. In the Quick Find search box in the left pane, search for Apex Trigger.
  8. Click Developer Console.
  9. In the Developer Console, click File, then New, and then Apex Trigger.
  10. In the New Apex Trigger window, enter SFDC_SHOPIFY_CREATE_ACCs in the Name field, and select the Object from the list.
  11. Click Submit.

    A new Apex trigger is created.

  12. Write the required business logic, save the trigger, and debug any errors.

    The new trigger appears in the Apex Trigger list.

Note:

For this recipe, refer to the sample Apex Trigger file SFDC_SHOPIFY_CREATE_ACC_Trig_APEXCode.tgr.

Configure AQ JMS

Create the AQ JMS queue resources required by the recipe.

To configure AQ JMS, see Prerequisites for Creating a Connection.

The recipe uses the JMS_MESSAGE queue. Each AQ queue requires a queue table to store its messages. Create the queue table before creating the queue.

  1. In a database client, such as SQL Developer, log in to the database as a DBA user, for example, SYSTEM or SYS. Create the AQJMSUSER user and grant the privileges required to create a queue.
  2. Create the JMS_MESSAGE_TABLE queue table.
    EXECUTE dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table(
                queue_table         => 'JMS_MESSAGE_TABLE',
                queue_payload_type  => 'sys.aq$_jms_message',
                multiple_consumers  => false
                );

    This command defines the storage and message structure.

  3. Create the JMS_MESSAGE queue.
    EXECUTE dbms_aqadm.create_queue(
                queue_name   => 'JMS_MESSAGE',
                queue_table  => 'JMS_MESSAGE_TABLE'
                );

    This command binds the queue to the queue table.

  4. Start the JMS_MESSAGE queue.
    EXECUTE dbms_aqadm.start_queue(
                queue_name => 'JMS_MESSAGE'
                );

    The queue is activated and can enqueue and dequeue messages.

Configure Shopify

Configure Shopify before you configure the Shopify connection in Oracle Integration.

To configure Shopify, see Prerequisites for Creating a Connection.
