About This Recipe
This recipe uses an app-driven integration that subscribes to the order creation events in Shopify and retrieves customer details from Shopify. Subsequently, it updates or inserts customer and product information into Salesforce along with the customer loyalty points. It sends an email notification from Salesforce to the customer with their updated loyalty points, and finally syncs the loyalty points back to Shopify.
To use the recipe, you must install the recipe and configure the connections and other resources within the recipe. When an order is created in Shopify, the integration flow of the recipe is triggered, and it retrieves customer information from Shopify. Subsequently, it updates/inserts the customer and product information in Salesforce with loyalty points, and then sends an email notification from Salesforce to the customer with the latest loyalty points. Finally, it updates back the loyalty points in Shopify.
