Before You Install the Recipe

You must perform the following configuration tasks on your Oracle HCM Cloud instance and sFTP server in order to successfully connect to these external systems using Oracle Integration and generate ANSI 834 benefits file from Oracle HCM Cloud extracted data file.

  1. Ensure that data is extracted from Oracle HCM Cloud.

Use the Oracle HCM Cloud adapter to retrieve files from an Oracle HCM Cloud instance via the HCM Extract tool. To access the Oracle HCM Cloud instance from Oracle Integration, see Prerequisites for Creating a Connection in Using the Oracle HCM Cloud Adapter with Oracle Integration 3.

Note that the file with the extracted data has to be named as SubscribersHcmExtract.xml for the integration flow of the recipe to process the file. Put this file in the FTP server's input folder. You can download the sample SubscribersHcmExtract.xml file to use in the recipe from Sample file.

  2. Access your FTP server.
    1. Log in to the server using your user name and password through an FTP client; for example, FileZilla.
    2. Create an output folder. This is the folder where the ANSI 834 benefits output files will be uploaded.
    3. Create an input folder. This is the folder from where the Oracle HCM Cloud extracted data input files will be read.
For the purpose of testing, you can download a sample input file and place it in the input folder. For more information, see Related documents and sample files.
