Provisioning Resources on Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure

To get started with Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure, create the dedicated resources that provide the infrastructure, compute, container database, and user database for your deployment.

Each resource depends on the resource created before it. You must create an Exadata Infrastructure resource before you create an Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster. You must create an Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster before you create an Autonomous Container Database. You must create an Autonomous Container Database before you create an Autonomous AI Database.

You can create multiple Autonomous Exadata VM Clusters on an Exadata Infrastructure resource, multiple Autonomous Container Databases in an Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster, and multiple Autonomous AI Databases in an Autonomous Container Database, subject to service limits and resource availability.

Before provisioning dedicated resources, ensure that you have:

Create an Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster

If you are a customer with an AWS Multicloud subscription, refer to the instructions in Create an Autonomous VM Cluster (AVMC) in AWS.

To create one Autonomous Container Database, you need at least:

  • 8 ECPUs or 2 OCPUs per node
  • 50GB local storage per node
