Terminate an Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure

Shows you the steps to terminate an Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure.

Required IAM Policies

Procedure

  1. Go to the Details page of the Autonomous AI Database you want to terminate.

    For databases that use Autonomous Data Guard, go to the Details page of the primary database.

    Note: In an Autonomous Data Guard setup, you can not terminate an Autonomous AI Database in an Autonomous Container Database (ACD) whose standby ACD is in a snapshot standby role.

  2. On Oracle Public Cloud, click Terminate under More Actions. On Exadata Cloud@Customer, click Delete under Actions.

  3. On the Terminate Autonomous AI Database page enter the database name to confirm that you want to terminate the database.

  4. Optionally, select Delete all long-term backups that are not retention locked to remove all long-term backups of the Autonomous AI Database if they are not retention locked.

  5. Click Terminatein Oracle Public Cloud and Terminate Autonomous AI Database in Exadata Cloud@Customer.

  6. After the Autonomous AI Database is terminated, you are given an option to undelete the database if the Autonomous AI Database is created with an ECPU compute model.

Undelete an Autonomous AI Database

You can only undelete an Autonomous AI Database created with an ECPU compute model.
