Oracle Database Features That Are Not Supported

Autonomous Database supports most of the features present in Oracle Database Enterprise Edition. However, to ensure the security and the performance of Autonomous Database, the following Oracle Database features, options, and packs are not supported in Autonomous Database.

  • Clusters (groups of tables)
  • Common users
  • DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP, DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP_CUSTOM, and DBMS_LDAP PL/SQL packages
  • UTL_TCP and UTL_INADDR PL/SQL packages
  • Dictionary-managed tablespaces
  • Industry Data Models
  • Logical standby databases
  • Manual segment space management
  • Manual undo management
  • Oracle Cloud Management Pack for Oracle Database
  • Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting Pack
  • Oracle Database Lifecycle Management Pack for Oracle Database
  • Oracle LogMiner
  • Oracle R Enterprise
  • Oracle Sharding
  • Oracle Workspace Manager
  • Root container (CDB$ROOT) access
  • Transportable tablespaces
  • Uniform extent allocation
  • XStream
