Move an Autonomous AI Database to a Different Compartment

Shows you the steps to move an Autonomous AI Database to a different Oracle Cloud Infrastructure compartment.

Note:

As soon as you move an Autonomous AI Database to a different compartment, the policies that govern the new compartment apply immediately and affect access to the database. Therefore, your access to the database may change, depending on the policies governing your Oracle Cloud user account's access to resources.

Required IAM Policies

  • use autonomous-databases in the Autonomous AI Database's current compartment and in the compartment you are moving it to.

  • read autonomous-backups

Procedure

  1. Go to the Details page of the Autonomous AI Database you want to move.
  2. On Oracle Public Cloud, click Move resource under More actions, and on Exadata Cloud@Customer, click Move resource under Actions.
  3. In the Move Resource to a Different Compartment page, select the new compartment.
  4. Click Move resource.
