Known Issues for Oracle Big Data Cloud Service

Release 18.4.5

Oracle Big Data Manager may not work in Release 18.4.5 and must be re-installed.

To re-install Oracle Big Data Manager, run the following on the third node of the cluster, as the root user:

Clean up Oracle Big Data Manager and dependent packages and data:

rpm -e bigdatamanager bdm-proxy bdm-notebook
mysql --execute='DROP DATABASE datamovement'
rm -rf /opt/oracle/bigdatamanager /opt/oracle/bdm-proxy /opt/oracle/bdm-notebook

Set Oracle Big Data Manager install variables:

export MYSQL_ROOT_USER=root 
export MYSQL_ROOT_PWD=$(awk -F= '/^password=/ {print $2}' /root/.my.cnf) 
export BIGDATA_MANAGER_PWD='Cloudera Manager admin password'

Ensure that these variables are set correctly:

echo $MYSQL_ROOT_USER
echo $MYSQL_ROOT_PWD
echo $BIGDATA_MANAGER_PWD

Install Oracle Big Data Manager:

yum install bigdatamanager bdm-notebook
service bigdatamanager start
service bdm-notebook start
service bdm-proxy start
