Editing Template Files

Advanced users in Oracle Cloud Stack may prefer to directly edit a template’s source file. Use YAML to define and edit parameters and resources, and to use functions for tasks like retrieving parameter values or evaluating conditions.

You can edit a template file using one of these methods:

• Use the Oracle Cloud Stack console to edit the template, and then click Open YAML editor .

• Export the template file from Oracle Cloud Stack, and then edit the file offline. See Exporting a Template.
