Schedule User Assessments

There are two schedule types for user assessments: latest and saved.

The latest schedule is created by Oracle Data Safe and controls when the latest user assessment for your target database runs. You can rename or update this schedule; however, you cannot delete it.

Saved schedules are schedules that you can create to periodically save copies of latest user assessments for your target databases. You can rename, update, or delete saved schedules.

Important:

When you create or modify schedules, enter all schedule times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Base your schedules on the UTC offset for the region where your tenancy is hosted.

Create a Schedule to Save User Assessments

You can create a schedule to periodically save a copy of the latest user assessment for your target database to a compartment of your choice. The schedule that generates the latest assessment is available in the same compartment as the target database.

Each time a copy of the latest user assessment is saved, it's listed in the Assessment history.

  1. On the left navigation pane, under User assessment, select Schedules. The User assessment schedule page opens.
  2. Select the compartment for your target database and check if there is an existing schedule. If so, you may want to modify it instead of creating another one.
  3. Select Add schedule. The Add schedule to save an assessment page opens.
  4. Select the compartment and name of your target database.
  5. Enter a schedule name that is easy to identify with your target database and schedule.
  6. Select the compartment to which you want to save the schedule.
  7. From the Schedule type drop-down list, select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  8. If you selected Weekly as the schedule type, in the Every drop-down list, select a week day.
  9. If you selected Monthly as the schedule type, in the Day drop-down list, select the day number.
  10. In the Time box, enter a time in the hh:mm aa format. Alternatively, select the Time box and select a time from the drop-down list.
  11. Select Add schedule. Details about your saved schedule are displayed.

Stop or Start a User Assessment Schedule

You can stop or start a user assessment schedule at any time. If you are starting a schedule, the target database will get assessed again periodically according to the same schedule that was previously defined.

  1. On the left navigation pane, under User assessment, select Schedules. The User assessment schedule page opens and lists schedules for all assessment types.
  2. Select the compartment that contains the schedule you want to stop or start.
  3. (Optional) To filter the schedule list, create a filter on schedule type, target database, schedule, state, name, or OCID.
  4. Select a schedule's name to open it.
  5. From the Actions menu, select Stop schedule or Start schedule. A confirmation dialog box opens.
  6. Select Yes to confirm.

Update a User Assessment Schedule

You can update saved schedules and the schedule for the latest user assessment.

  1. On the left navigation pane, under User assessment, select Schedules. The User assessment schedule page opens.
  2. Search for your saved schedule, and then select it to open it.
  3. Select Update schedule. The Update schedule panel opens.
  4. Reconfigure the schedule, and then select Update schedule.

Delete a Schedule for Saved User Assessments

You can permanently delete any schedule, except for the latest user assessment schedule.
