2 Installing the Backup Module for Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service
To use Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service for Oracle database backups, you'll need to install the appropriate backup module needed for cloud backups.
Note:
The information provided in this section applies to Oracle Database 19c Release 26 (19.26) and earlier releases.
For Oracle Database 19c Release 27 (19.27) or later and Oracle Database 23ai Release 8 (23.8) or later, Oracle recommends that you use the simplified procedure to set up the Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service, as described in the Oracle Database Backup and Recovery User's Guide.
The backup module used depends on your backup destination, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic.
