Before You Begin
Introduction
This document describes how to configure Oracle Identity Cloud Service to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) for CloudPassage using SAML.
About CloudPassage
CloudPassage is a company that provides an automation platform, delivered via software as a service, that improves security for private, public, and hybrid cloud computing environments.
After integrating CloudPassage with Oracle Identity Cloud Service:
- Users can access CloudPassage using their Oracle Identity Cloud Service login credentials.
- Users can start CloudPassage using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Apps console.
- Admins can assign and revoke user access to the CloudPassage app using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console.
What Do You Need?
- An Oracle Identity Cloud Service account with authorization rights to manage apps and users (Identity Domain Administrator or Application Administrator).
- A CloudPassage account with authorization rights to configure federated authentication.
- Make sure that the email ID of each user in CloudPassage matches the primary email ID of the Oracle Identity Cloud Service account.
Configuring the CloudPassage App in Oracle Identity Cloud Service
Use this section to register and activate the CloudPassage app, and then assign users to the app.
Prerequisite Steps
An account ID is required before you can register and activate the CloudPassage app. You obtain that account ID from CloudPassage.
To obtain the account ID:
Log in as an administrator to CloudPassage at:
https://portal.cloudpassage.com/login
.In the upper-right corner of the page, click the Settings icon, and then Site Administration. The Site Administration page appears.
On the Site Administration page, select the Authentication Settings tab.
Locate Single Sign-on Settings, select the Enable Single Sign-on (SSO) check box, and then copy the Account ID.
Registering and Activating the CloudPassage App
Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console, select Applications, and then click Add.
Click App Catalog.
Search for
CloudPassage
, and then click Add.In the App Details section, enter your CloudPassage Account ID, and then click Next.
Note: This is the account ID value that you obtained while performing the steps in the "Prerequisite Steps" section.
Click Download IDCS Certificate.
Tip: You use this file later during the CloudPassage configuration in the "Configuring SSO for CloudPassage" section.
Click Finish. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.
Click Activate, and then click Activate Application. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.
Assigning Users to the CloudPassage App
On the CloudPassage app page in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, select the Users tab, and then click Assign. The Assign Users window appears.
Select users that you want to assign to CloudPassage, and then click OK. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message stating that the CloudPassage app is assigned to the users that you selected.
Configuring SSO for CloudPassage
Access CloudPassage as an administrator at:
https://portal.cloudpassage.com/login
. The CloudPassage home page appears.In the upper-right corner of the CloudPassage home page, click the Settings icon, and then Site Administration. The Site Administration page appears.
On the Site Administration page, select the Authentication Settings tab.
Locate Single Sign-on Settings, use the table to update the federated authentication attributes, and then click Save.
This table lists the mandatory federated authentication attributes that you must set to complete the SSO configuration. Attribute Value SAML issuer URL Enter the SAML issuer URL: https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/fed
SAML endpoint URL Enter the SAML endpoint URL: https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/fed/v1/idp/sso
Logout landing page(optional) Enter the Logout landing page: https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/fed/v1/idp/slo
x.509 certificate Paste the certificate that you downloaded during the CloudPassage registration in Oracle Identity Cloud Service. See the "Registering and Activating the CloudPassage App" section.
Verifying the Integration
Use this section to verify that SSO works when initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IdP Initiated SSO).
Verifying Identity Provider Initiated SSO from Oracle Identity Cloud Service
Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Services My Profile console:

.Log in using credentials for a user that is assigned to the CloudPassage app. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a shortcut to CloudPassage under My Apps.
Click CloudPassage. The Browser Authorization page appears.
Note: CloudPassage sends a verification code to your registered email ID. Use this verification code to authorize the browser.
Enter the Authorization Code, and then click Submit.
In the upper-right of the CloudPassage home page, confirm that the user that is logged in is the same for both CloudPassage and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.
This confirms that SSO that is initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service works.
Troubleshooting
Use this section to locate solutions to common integration issues.
Known Issues
CloudPassage displays the message “There is a problem with your single sign-on account. First Name required. Last Name required. Email required. Email must be a valid email address. Please contact your administrator."
Cause: The email attribute sent by Oracle Identity Cloud Service during SSO doesn't match any existing user in CloudPassage.
Solution: Ensure that the user that you assign to the CloudPassage app has an account in both Oracle Identity Cloud Service and CloudPassage with the same email address.
Unknown Issues
For unknown issues, contact Oracle Support:
Go to https://support.oracle.com.
Select Cloud Support, and then sign in with your support credentials.
In the Cloud Dashboard, confirm that there are no planned outages in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, and then click Create Service Request.
Select Oracle Identity Cloud Service as the service type.
Complete your service request.
