Moxtra

Before You Begin

Introduction

This document describes how to configure Oracle Identity Cloud Service to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) for Moxtra using SAML.

About Moxtra

Moxtra offers annotation tools, enterprise grade security, power messaging, voice clips, and voice and video meetings.

After integrating Moxtra with Oracle Identity Cloud Service:

  • Users can access Moxtra using their Oracle Identity Cloud Service login credentials.
  • Users can start Moxtra using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Apps console.
  • Admins can assign and revoke user access to the Moxtra app using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console.

What Do You Need?

  • An Oracle Identity Cloud Service account with authorization rights to manage apps and users (Identity Domain Administrator or Application Administrator).
  • A Moxtra account with authorization rights to configure federated authentication.

Configuring the Moxtra App in Oracle Identity Cloud Service

Use this section to register and activate the Moxtra app, and then assign users to the app.

Prerequisite Steps

An IDP-ID and an ORG-ID are required before you can register and activate the Moxtra app. You obtain these values from Moxtra Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) Endpoint URL after creating SAML SSO configuration in Moxtra.

  1. Access Moxtra using the URL: http://www.moxtra.com, and then click sign in.

  2. Log in as an administrator. The Moxtra home page appears.

  3. Click Admin.

  4. Click SAML Single Sign-On, and then click your company name.

Tip: See the Configuring SSO for Moxtra for your company name.

The Moxtra IDP-ID and ORG-ID appears in the Moxtra Access Consumer Service Endpoint URL: https://www.moxtra.com/sp/startSSO?idpid=<IDP-ID>&orgid=<ORG-ID>.

Registering and Activating the Moxtra App

  1. Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console, select Applications, and then click Add.

  2. Click App Catalog.

  3. Search for Moxtra, and then click Add.

  4. In the App Details section, enter your Moxtra IDP-ID and ORG-ID, and then click Next.

Note: These are the values that you obtained while performing the steps in the "Prerequisite Steps" section.

  5. Click Download Signing Certificate. Moxtra expects the certificate file to have a line break after column 64. However, certificate downloaded from Oracle Identity Cloud Service does not have a line break after column 64.

  6. Use Linux/Unix fold -w 64 -s Certificate_filename.pem > Folded-Cert_filename.pem command to insert line break after column 64.

Tip: Use this updated certificate file later during the Moxtra configuration in the "Configuring SSO for Moxtra" section.

  7. Click Download Identity Provider Metadata.

Tip: Use this file later during the Moxtra configuration in the "Configuring SSO for Moxtra" section.

  8. Click Finish. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.

  9. Click Activate, and then click Activate Application. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.

Note: The Moxtra app can be accessed by a user who is assigned to the Moxtra app in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, even if the user doesn't have a Moxtra account.

Verifying the Integration

Use this section to verify that SSO works when initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IdP initiated SSO) or from Moxtra (SP initiated SSO).

Verifying Identity Provider Initiated SSO from Oracle Identity Cloud Service

  1. Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Profile console using the URL: https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/ui/v1/myconsole.

  2. Log in using credentials for a user that is assigned to the Moxtra app. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a shortcut to Moxtra under My Apps.

  3. Click Moxtra. The Moxtra home page appears.

  4. Confirm that the user that is logged in is the same for both Moxtra and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

This confirms that SSO that is initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service works.

Verifying Service Provider Initiated SSO from Moxtra

  1. Access Moxtra using the URL: http://www.moxtra.com, click sign in, and then click SSO.

  2. Enter your email address, and then click CONTINUE. You are redirected to the Oracle Identity Cloud Service login page.
