3 Install and Configure the Recipe

On your Oracle Integration instance, install the recipe package to deploy and configure the integration and associated resources.

  1. On the Oracle Integration Home page, scroll to the Accelerators & Recipes section.
  2. Click Search All.
    The list of available recipes is displayed.
  3. Find and select the recipe package that you want to install, then click Install Install icon..
    A message confirms that the recipe was successfully installed, and the recipe card shows INSTALLED.
  4. After the package is installed, click Configure Configure icon on the recipe card.

    The Configuration Editor opens, displaying all the resources of the recipe package. Configure the following resources before you activate and run the recipe.

Configure the Oracle HCM Cloud Connection

  1. On the Configuration Editor page, select Oracle HCM Cloud Connection.
  2. Click Edit Edit icon.
    The connection configuration page appears.
  3. In the Connection Properties section, enter the Oracle HCM Cloud host name. For example: https://<hostname>/homePage/faces/FuseWelcome.
  4. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    Security Policy Select Username Password Token.
    User Name Enter the user name of the account created for Oracle Integration on Oracle HCM Cloud. See Configure Oracle HCM Cloud.
    Password Enter the password of the account created for Oracle Integration on Oracle HCM Cloud.
  5. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  6. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured. In the resulting dialog, click Test again.
    A message confirms if your test is successful.
  7. To return to the Configuration Editor, click Back Back icon . Click Save again if prompted.

Configure the Oracle E-Business Suite Connection

  1. On the Configuration Editor page, select Oracle EBS Connection.
  2. Click Edit Edit icon.
    The connection configuration page appears.
  3. In the Connection Properties section, enter the URL of your Oracle E-Business Suite instance.
  4. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    Username Enter the user name of the account created for Oracle Integration on Oracle E-Business Suite. See Configure Oracle E-Business Suite.
    Password Enter the password of the account created for Oracle Integration on Oracle E-Business Suite.
  5. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  6. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured.
    A message confirms if your test is successful.
  7. To return to the Configuration Editor, click Back Back icon . Click Save again if prompted.

Update Integration Properties

You have to update the integration property values so that the employee records are created in the right organization in Oracle E-Business Suite.

  1. In the Configuration Editor page, select the integration flow.
  2. Click Actions actions-icon, then click Update Property Values.
  3. In the Update Property Values dialog, update the integration properties with appropriate values.
    1. OrgId: This integration property holds the ID of the Oracle E-Business Suite organization in which the employees must be created. Enter the organization ID you obtained earlier. See Configure Oracle E-Business Suite.
    2. BusinessGroupId: This integration property holds the ID of the business group in Oracle E-Business Suite to which the new employees must belong. Enter the business group ID you obtained earlier. See Configure Oracle E-Business Suite.
    3. NotificationMail: This integration property holds the email address to which run-time exception emails are sent. Enter an email address of your choice.
  4. Click Submit.

    You get a confirmation message that the integration properties have been updated successfully.
