Import a Model

A model created in another Integration Insight instance can be imported from an archive.

Users with the ServiceAdministrator or ServiceDeveloper roles can import an Integration Insight model.

The name of the archive zip file is shown in the Import Model dialog.

  5. (Optional) Select Overwrite Any Existing Drafts if you want to overwrite an existing draft model of the same name with the model being imported.
  6. Click Import Model.
The model is imported in a Draft state.

    Note:

See What to Expect When You Import a Model with Multiple Unique Instance Identifier Mappings for additional information if you are importing a model from an earlier version of Integration Insight where the unique instance identifier is mapped to multiple integrations.

  7. To configure the connections before you activate the imported model, click Connections in the confirmation message that appears at the top of the screen.

    Note:

When you import a model from one Integration Insight instance to another, the connections will need to be reconfigured by an Insight Admin or Connection Creator user. Generally, connections from one environment may be invalid in another environment. Thus, importing a model only creates stubs (name only) of the connections used in the imported model, if connections with the same ID do not exist already. A connection’s ID is determined when it is created; it usually corresponds with the connection’s name. An Insight Admin or Connection Creator user will subsequently need to fill in the details for these stubbed connections before the imported model can be activated.
Click Connections to view imported and skipped connections. You must configure the connections that appear under the Imported cell. Click a connection to navigate to the Connections page.

If a connection with the same ID has already been defined, it appears in the Skipped column.

What to Expect When You Import a Model with Multiple Unique Instance Identifier Mappings

New milestones may be automatically created when you import a model with more than one unique instance identifier mapping.

Starting with the 18.1.1.1 release of Integration Insight in Oracle Integration, a unique instance identifier can be associated to multiple milestones instead of defining additional mappings for the identifier. See Add Additional Unique Instance Identifier Associations.

When you edit an imported model created with a previous version of Integration Insight with multiple unique instance identifier mappings, the business process actions that each are mapped to are examined to determine if a milestone mapped to the same action exists in your model. If Integration Insight finds a match, the unique instance identifier is associated to the milestone that is mapped to the same business process action.

If Integration Insight does not find matching milestone mappings, a new milestone is created for each unmatched unique instance identifier association.

You must either rename the new milestones or associate the mappings with appropriate milestones that already exist in your model.

Note:

The milestone is created only when you attempt to edit an imported model. You can activate the imported model without editing it. It will continue to function as it did previously.

Import Dashboards

After a importing a model from another Integration Insight instance and activating the model, you can import the model’s dashboards.

Users with the ServiceAdministrator or ServiceDeveloper roles can import the dashboards for an Integration Insight model.

Note:

You can import dashboards only into an activated model.

To import a model’s dashboards:

  1. In the Oracle Integration navigation pane, click Insight.
  2. In the Insight navigation pane, click Consoles.
  3. On the Consoles page, click the model for which you want to import dashboards.
  4. Click Import Dashboards.
    The Import Dashboards button.
The Import Dashboard dialog is displayed.
    The Import Dashboards dialog.
  5. Click Browse, and then select the archive file of the model containing the dashboards to import.

The name of the model whose dashboards you’re importing must match the name of the current model.

  6. Click Import.

    Notes:

    • Dashboards with names matching those in your current model are not imported. Dashboards not imported are shown as skipped. Changing the names of any conflicting dashboards allows you to import them.

    • Integration Insight does not copy/import instances of the business process defined for the model when you import dashboards.
