This diagram shows the runtime flow from a custom API through the ICS Connector to an integration cloud service and back to the custom API. The first block shows the custom code calling the ICS Connector API. The second block shows the connector API passing design time credentials to the ICS service. After authentication is verified, the ICS integration is selected. The runtime credentials to access the integration are then passed either to a single cloud service, such as Oracle Service Cloud or Oracle Fusion Applications, or the credentials are passed to an on-premises agent. If on-premises agent is used, then the agent passes the request to the target system, such as Database, EBS, or File, for example.
The return flow shows information being passed back from the target system, to the connector API, and, finally, back to the custom code.
