Description of the illustration session_duration.png

The Session Duration report displays the minimum, maximum, and average session times for one, or all, mobile apps over a selected period of time and location. The session reports enable you to view mobile app user participation for one or more mobile backends within a specific time period. The upper–right side of sessions reports contain a dropdown list from which you can choose All Backends (the default) or a selected mobile backend. For the Session Duration report itself, you can choose a specific mobile app, or the default option, Client Application. When you select a mobile app, you can select a property to group sessions by from the adjacent dropdown. The Options include Client Application, Country, State, City, and Postal Code. At the right of the page, you can select a time period for this data in terms of one hour (1H), one day (1D), one week (1W), one month (1M), three months (3M), one year (1Y), or all. There are date pickers for the start and end date of a period. In this illustration, a grouped bar chart plots the number of active users for one week (the default) by city. The report plots bar for each city. You can display, or hide a city’s bar. Although the data is expressed as a grouped bar chart, the page has options (located at the bottom) to display data either as a line graph (the default) or a grouped bar chart. The bottom of the page includes a count of the average session duration per minute.
