Requesting or Viewing Access for Linux Account

If you do not have any Linux group/entitlement, the Linux Account tab will not be visible.
To request or view Linux access to one or more hosts:
  1. Sign in to Oracle Pulse as explained in the Accessing Oracle Pulse section in Introduction.
The Pulse dashboard is displayed by default.
  2. From the navigation menu, click OS Accounts.
The OS Accounts dashboard page opens. By default, you are taken to Linux Accounts. Under the Linux Tab tab, active OCI services are displayed.

    Note:

In the upper-right side of the page, the user login ID is displayed.

  3. Expand the service(s) and select one or more hosts.

    Note:

For each service, all available hosts are displayed, depending on your OCI group or entitlement (assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or the Technical Account Manager).

If you already have access to a host, a green icon is displayed. If not, you can request access. You can select one or more hosts (from different services if you want to) and Request access.

  4. Click Request Accounts.
    The Create Account screen opens.
  5. Enter the Password twice, and then click Request Access.

The confirmation message is displayed in the upper right side of the page.
