A recipe works by monitoring a trigger event and executing an action.
During the recipe editing cycle, you specify a trigger that starts the recipe. When the recipe is running, SSI Cloud polls the cloud applications for a trigger event. When a trigger event occurs, SSI executes the set of actions specified within the associated recipe.
Let’s say that you want to receive an email when a team member uploads a file to a shared file service. You authorize SSI to communicate with your file share account and your email account, and then you edit the recipe by setting a trigger. SSI polls the file share application to see if the trigger condition was met. After you activate the recipe, you receive an email the next time someone uploads a file to the shared account.
