1 What's New in Release 3.1.0
Here’s an overview of new features and enhancements added to Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel in Release 3.1.0. Take note also of some limitations when using the add-in.
New and Changed Features
- A new Clear Browser Cache command in the Advanced menu of the Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel ribbon. Use this command to clear the WebBrowser2 embedded browser cache of all data including profile data such as history, bookmarks, and cookies. See Clear the Embedded Browser Cache
- Improvements to the way you add, reorder, and remove ancestor columns from a dependent Table layout. You can add one or more ancestor columns at the same time, and also change the order of the layout's columns using the Table Column Manager. See Add Ancestor Columns to a Dependent Layout.
- An update to the way warnings are displayed in a layout following an upload. If there is a warning on a changed form or row, the Status cell displays a warning icon. Select the form field or row to view details of the warning in the Status viewer. See Upload Changes from a Table Layout or Upload Changes from a Form-Over-Table Layout
- Support for a list of values (LOV) in a Search window when a field is read-only but searchable. Previously, the add-in would ignore an LOV configuration if the field was read-only and the display field and the identity field in the configuration was the same.
- Improvement to the responsiveness of the Search-and-Select window when values are loading
- Support for Microsoft Windows 11
Known Limitations

- Workbooks created or modified with version 3.1 are generally considered to be incompatible with prior versions of the add-in.
