Refresh Polymorphic Business Object Metadata

You can refresh polymorphic metadata in your workbook to ensure it has the latest metadata. Because polymorphic business object segments are configurable by customers and subject to change, metadata stored in the workbook may become stale.

Oracle Visual Builder Add-in for Excel also automatically refreshes the polymorphic business object metadata during the first download operation performed after you open a saved or published workbook.

To clear polymorphic metadata, navigate to the discriminator field's Business Object Field Editor, then open the Polymorphic Information tab. From this tab, click Refresh polymorphic field segments.

Note:

It is possible to delete all polymorphic segment metadata in the workbook during publish to ensure the business users get the latest metadata. Any edits made to polymorphic segments will be lost. See Publish an Integrated Excel Workbook.
