Adding Attachments to a Reconciliation
Attachments can be in the form of external documents or Web page links.
Custom attributes of type Multi-Line Text can also include attachments.
To add an external document or web page link to the Attachment section:
- From Home, click Reconciliations and then select and open the reconciliation to work on.
- On the Reconciliation Summary dialog, click the
Attachments tab (paper clip icon) on the right. The
Attachments list displays.
- To add a file attachment, click the Attach a File icon.
In the Add Attachment dialog:
- Select Choose File to select and attach the file.
- (Optional) Enter a descriptive Name.
- Select Carry Forward if you want this attachment to be included on this reconciliation for the next period.
- Click OK.
Note:
The option to upload a file as an attachment is visible only if the Prevent File Upload option is not selected in the format that is associated with this reconciliation. - To add link to an external file, click the Attach a Link
icon. In the Add Attachment dialog:
- In URL, enter the URL(for example: Oracle, http://www.oracle.com).
- In Name, enter the URL name.
- Select Carry Forward if you want this attachment to be included on this reconciliation for the next period.
- Click OK.
Note:
Once a preparer has added a link, a user who clicks on the link will open it based on the user's browser settings.
If you selected Carry Forward, you will see a Carry Forward icon next to the file attachment or web link.
