Apply Existing Fusion Security Assignments

To apply the existing Fusion security assignments within Fusion Data Intelligence for pillars other than Oracle Cloud HCM, you must map the data security roles to groups, and then upload the job role mappings using Upload Center.

As a part of implementing the Automated Fusion Security Assignments capability that brings the data security assignments for Ledgers and Business Units, you must manually upload the mapping for the job role code to the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data security role. Security assignments for the job role in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications are then mapped to the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data security role. This doesn't eliminate the need for you to map users to the security contexts defined. If that mapping isn't done, then users in the new group that is assigned to the custom role get the same level of access to the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data security role and not the custom Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications job role and the corresponding group in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

Perform these steps to apply existing Fusion Security Assignments for Ledgers and Business Units.

  1. Manually map the job group to the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data security role.
  2. Upload the mapping for the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications job role to the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data role using Upload Center.

    To find the appropriate Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence application role for a specific Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications job role, consult the role mapping tables for that functional area (pillar).

  3. You must create a pipeline for the Security Configuration Option functional area for the respective pillar.
