Data Validation Recommendations and Tips

Here are some guidelines and tips related to data validation in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

• Perform data validation daily, or as needed.
• You can run data validation for both open and closed periods.
• If there is data validation mismatch between Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and Fusion Data Intelligence, and data is refreshed more frequently than daily, only run your validation after the pipeline runs finish.
• Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence data is valid on the last pipeline run date only. Any changes in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications after the pipeline run date aren't synced with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, causing a potential mismatch between Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.
• If source records from Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications are deleted, you can review the rejected records in the Warehouse Refresh Statistics subject area.
• Data validation supports a maximum of 2,500 selected values for filter criteria. This limit helps prevent query timeouts in both Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence and Oracle Analytics Cloud while maintaining overall system performance. If a filter is optional and not required, leave it unselected. No selection will include all rows in the validation. When applying filters, use the search feature to locate and select only the values necessary for validation. Don't select null values as filter criteria.
