Create a Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence EPM Integrator Connection

As a service administrator, you need to create the connection in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence before using the EPM integrator.

  1. Sign in to your service.
  2. In Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence Console, click Data Configuration under Application Administration.
  3. On the Data Configuration page, click Manage Connections
  4. On the Manage Connections page, click Create and then click Connection.
    1. In Usage Type, select Data Extraction.
    2. Search for and select the applicable EPM Integrator.
    3. Enter the connection details:
      • Hostname - Enter the URL of your EPM instance. For example, https://epm-<instance>.epm.us-ashburn-1.ocs.oraclecloud.com/
      • Username
      • Password

      Note:

      The user must have administrator privileges in EPM. Single sign-on and MFA should be disabled for the user.
    4. Configure the connection options:
      • Initialize Connection - Keep this option enabled when creating the connection for the first time.

        This option automatically creates the target applications in the EPM Data Exchange of the source EPM application. Disable this option when reinitialization isn't required. Reinitialization clears the data extract jobs defined in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence .

      • Reset Cubes List – Keep this option blank when creating the connection for the first time.

        Use this option with Initialize Connection. If Reset Cubes List is blank and Initialize Connection is enabled, all cubes are reinitialized. Specify one or more cube names if you want to reinitialize only specific cubes.

      • Refresh Metadata- Keep this option enabled when creating the connection for the first time.

        This option creates or updates the data stores for dimensions from the EPM cubes. If changes are made in EPM, run Refresh Metadata again to synchronize metadata from EPM to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

    5. Save the connection details.
  5. Confirm that the connection initialization and refresh metadata is successful.
  6. Click Pipeline Setting and configure the Initial Extract Date and Data Refresh Schedule.
    The initial extraction is required to proceed, but isn't used in the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence EPM integrator.
