Configure the Remote Agent

Configure the remote agent to enable data extraction from the on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite environment.

Note:

Remote agent configuration is mandatory for Oracle E-Business Suite environments. See Set up the Remote Agent.

While configuring the Remote Agent, set the Poll Interval as 30000 milliseconds (30 seconds) to achieve better extraction performance.

Remote Agent endpoints are required for configuration from command line interface (CLI) only. To limit this access, you can start the Remote Agent in loopback mode without any remote access by doing the following:

1. Run the docker using the following command docker run:

   -d -p 9091:9091 -e SERVER_ADDRESS=127.0.0.1 --name remoteagent -v /faw/software/remoteagent/config/:/faw/software/remoteagent/config/ -v /faw/software/remoteagent/autonomous-extractors/:/faw/software/remoteagent/autonomous-extractors/ -v /faw/software/custom-extractors/:/faw/software/custom-extractors -v /faw/logs/RemoteAgent/:/faw/logs/RemoteAgent <docker_image>{code}

2. Update /faw/software/remoteagent/config/setup/remoteAgentCLI.sh as follows:
   • Open the script file and look for the line SERVER_FQDN_URL="https://$HOSTNAME:9091/extractservice-remoteagent/"
   • Update it to SERVER_FQDN_URL="https://localhost:9091/extractservice-remoteagent/"
