Soft delete logic Configuration

Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence implements a soft delete mechanism to manage records that have been physically deleted from the source system.

Instead of physically removing these records from the data warehouse, the ETL process marks them as logically deleted by setting the DELETE_FLG column to 'Y'. This approach preserves historical data while ensuring that deleted records can be excluded from reporting and analytics.

The soft delete process uses a full comparison strategy based on the Primary Extract (_PE) and Delete (_DEL) tables to identify records that have been removed from the source system.
