Updating the SOFT_DELETE_PREPROCESS Parameter

Follow these instructions to update the SOFT_DELETE_PREPROCESS parameter.

Open the EBS_CONFIG DA Script application and navigate to Console_Configurations.hrf → Inline Dataset C_PARAMETER_VALUE_FORMATTER_V_DS_IN → SOFT_DELETE_PREPROCESS.

Within the C_PARAMETER_VALUE_FORMATTER_V_DS_IN inline dataset, the SOFT_DELETE_PREPROCESS parameter is configured at the DW_TASK_CODE and GROUP_CODE levels.

• DW_TASK_CODE: For some records, the DW_TASK_CODE is populated with the corresponding Fact or Dimension task, while for others it is set to GLOBAL

• GROUP_CODE : This identifies the associated Fact Group or Dimension Group. Refer to the table above for the list of supported GROUP_CODE values, their descriptions, and the corresponding Fact and Dimension tables associated with each group.

By default, the SOFT_DELETE_PREPROCESS parameter is set to N, indicating that soft delete preprocessing is disabled for the corresponding Fact Group or Dimension Group.

To enable soft delete preprocessing, update the parameter value to Y for the required GROUP_CODE. Modify only the applicable GROUP_CODE entries based on your business requirements, leaving all other entries unchanged.
