Does Fusion Operational Analytics use my existing Fusion Data Intelligence resources?

The compute resource for Fusion Operational Analytics is independent of Fusion Data Intelligence allocated resources.

Can I create a visualization with both Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence subject areas and Fusion Data Intelligence subject areas?

A visualization can’t be created that blends Fusion Data Intelligence subject areas and Fusion Operational Analytics/Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence subject areas together. Content can live side-by-side in a workbook. However, use a good workbook design to describe the relationships of data from two lineages.

Does Operational Analytics replace Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence?

Operational Analytics complements, but doesn’t replace, existing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence reporting capabilities. Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence remains a core reporting tool for customers’ production environments. Operational Analytics leverages the existing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence semantic and security models to ensure continuity, enabling customers to adopt the new experience seamlessly without disrupting their critical production workloads.

Does Fusion Operational Analytics support everything I can do in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence?

Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence remains a robust analytics tool with a wide range of capabilities, many of which are best handled within Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence. Workbooks provide a new interactive experience which isn’t suitable for some legacy features.

Do I have access to all the same Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence subject areas as in Fusion Operational Analytics?

Yes, access is governed by the same Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence duty roles.

Is my custom Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence extensibility supported?

Yes. Additionally, the management of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence extensibility remains in its current form without any changes.

Is there a way to migrate/convert my existing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence content to Fusion Operational Analytics?

Content can be rebuilt with Oracle Analytics Cloud workbooks using the same Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence semantic model/subject areas. There is no conversion utility available.

How does Fusion Operational Analytics query performance compare with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence?

Fusion Operational Analytics query performance for reports accessing the same subject areas and data is similar to the performance of the existing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence reports. Follow the existing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence best practices. Fusion Data Intelligence analytics applications, however, provide performance benefits by taking advantage of aggregates and other advanced analytics capabilities for optimized performance against exported/transform Fusion Application data.
